Webcasts provide a variety of ways to dispense information without being present. This page gives three examples of how webcasts could be used in distance education:
  1. To give online instruction that exemplifies how to navigate class websites, use the class LMS (blackboard/moodle), or teach software such as word, excel, flash, dream-weaver, etc...
  2. To explain presentations posted on blackboard, class websites, etc...
  3. To instruct at a distance, thus giving students the audible learning sense...a sense rarely captured in strictly on line distance education.
